What the chips add

Chipotle’s own words on the chips: “Yes. Chipotle finishes its freshly made chips with lime juice and salt, giving them their signature flavor.” “Yes, Chipotle chips are gluten free. They are made from corn tortillas cut into triangles, fried in vegetable oil, and seasoned with lime juice and salt.” A regular Chips is $1.95 at the median and 540 calories; with guacamole $4.90 (770 calories), with queso $4.90 (780 calories). The large chips and the large sides are the same records at the family size; each side page lists every size with its own price and calories.

The High Protein Cup

The cups are the High Protein Menu’s snack, $4.00 at the median for the chicken cup on the menus read against the $3.82 national weighted average the brand announced; the High Protein Menu page has the release and the read side by side.

Where prices differ most

Prices are set per restaurant, and the spread shows it: High Protein Cups ran $3.35 to $5.10 across 368 restaurants, a gap of $1.75. The tightest is Large Salsas (side), $2.15 to $2.50. By state median High Protein Cups was cheapest in Kansas ($3.83) and dearest in New York ($4.45); the prices by state page has every state.
