What the brand launched
Chipotle’s High Protein Menu page: “Real ingredients. Real flavor. Real protein that works as hard as you do.” “The High Protein Cup is available in Adobo Chicken and Steak. The Adobo Chicken High Protein Cup has 32 grams of protein and the Steak High Protein Cup has 21 grams of protein.” The release of 18 December 2025 said: “Chipotle will debut its High Protein Menu on Tuesday, December 23, with items ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein per item”. “In the U.S., prices start at $3.50 for a Single Chicken Taco at select restaurants. The national weighted average price of a High Protein Cup of Adobo Chicken is $3.82.” And its footnote: “Pricing varies by menu item and location and is subject to change; see Chipotle online ordering or the Chipotle mobile app for actual prices. Prices reflected do not include guacamole, Queso Blanco, or other extra charges. Sides, drinks and taxes are extra; delivery pricing is higher and fees apply.”

Where the sum and the brand’s figure differ, both are printed on the item page and neither is resolved; a part the brand publishes calories only for (the extra portion of a protein) counts its calories and nothing else. The price is the entree it is built on at its read range plus the priced add-ons at the same restaurants, or the cup as its own product.
The cup’s announced price against the reads
Chipotle announced a national weighted average of $3.82 for the chicken cup. On 25 September 2026 the same cup read $3.35 to $5.10 across 368 restaurants, median $4.00: $0.18 above the announcement. The announced figure weights restaurants by their sales and the read gives every restaurant one vote, so the two need not match; both are printed. The GLP-1 page the brand keeps says: “While Chipotle doesn’t offer a dedicated GLP-1 support menu, the new High Protein Menu has GLP-1 friendly options like the High Protein-Low Calorie Bowl or the High Protein-High Fiber Bowl.”
Where prices differ most
Prices are set per restaurant, and the spread shows it: Double High Protein Burrito ran $11.80 to $17.20 across 368 restaurants, a gap of $5.40. The tightest is High Protein Taco, $3.50 to $4.05. By state median Double High Protein Burrito was cheapest in Kansas ($13.01) and dearest in New York ($15.60); the prices by state page has every state.
Allergens and diets on the chart
Seven of the eight rows carry a chart row or a calculator tag; three carry dairy, two carry wheat and gluten and two carry sulphites. One row carries no row and no tag (High Protein Cup - Pollo Asado) and sits out of every allergen filter on this site rather than being assumed clean. The chart’s own caution stands on every page: “Individual foods may come into contact with one another during preparation, which is not reflected on this chart.”
Availability
Of the eight rows on 25 September 2026: eight core rows, on every open menu read. Eight rows were marked unavailable at one or more restaurants on the read day (Double High Protein Bowl at one, Double High Protein Burrito at one, High Protein Cup - Chicken at one, High Protein Cup - Pollo Asado at one and High Protein Cup - Steak at one); a menu marks an item off for the day when the restaurant cannot make it, which is not a delisting.
How this page is read
Every price on this page is a range read from 368 restaurants’ own ordering menus in 48 states and DC on 25 September 2026, printed with the count of restaurants behind it and the brand’s own delivery price beside it; every calorie and nutrient figure is Chipotle’s own record from its nutrition calculator, and every allergen mark is its own chart row or tag. An entree row lists the protein alone, because that is what the ordering menu lists, and its page sums every build from the parts. A state chosen at the top of the page prints that state’s median beside the national range. The how we check page explains the reads in full.
