The build, drawn to scale
Pick a reference build or press the parts. Each segment is the figure Chipotle publishes for that part in its nutrition calculator; the bars are drawn on fixed scales so builds compare against each other and against the printed sheet's 740 to 1,210 calorie range for a burrito.

What the calculator does
Pick a format and a protein, then press the parts. Every part is Chipotle’s own record from its nutrition calculator, at the portion the format serves; the bars redraw to scale for calories, sodium and protein, and the price is the entree’s national median plus any priced add-on you press. Choose a state at the top of the page and the price is that state’s median instead. A part the brand publishes calories only for (the double portion of a protein) adds its calories and marks the sum as partial, because there is nothing else to add.
A burrito, three ways
The Chicken Burrito light build (Flour Tortilla (burrito), Fajita Veggies, Fresh Tomato Salsa and Romaine Lettuce) comes to 550 calories and $9.80 at the median; the classic (Flour Tortilla (burrito), Cilantro-Lime White Rice, Black Beans, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Romaine Lettuce) to 1,090 calories and $9.80; the loaded (Flour Tortilla (burrito), Cilantro-Lime White Rice, Black Beans, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream, Guacamole and Queso Blanco) to 1,515 calories and $14.45, the entree plus $4.65 of add-ons. Sodium runs 1,610 mg on the light build and 3,190 mg on the loaded, 70 percent and 139 percent of the 2,300 mg the FDA uses as the daily value; the printed sheet’s range for a built burrito is 740 to 1,210 calories.
The tortilla, in figures
The same classic build as a Chicken Bowl is 770 calories: the difference of 320 calories is the burrito tortilla’s own record, 320 calories. The price is the same at the median, $9.80, because the format does not move the price on this menu.
What the listing counts
The calorie figure the ordering menu lists for any entree is the protein alone (180 calories for the 4 oz of chicken), so the calculator starts every build from that record and adds the rest part by part. The menu by calories and protein ranking tools rank whole records; this one sums a plate.
How this page is read
Every price on this page is a range read from 368 restaurants’ own ordering menus in 48 states and DC on 25 September 2026, printed with the count of restaurants behind it and the brand’s own delivery price beside it; every calorie and nutrient figure is Chipotle’s own record from its nutrition calculator, and every allergen mark is its own chart row or tag. The parts and their figures are the same on every entree page; the calculator is the same build across every format on one screen.
Questions
How many calories are in a Chipotle burrito?
It depends on the parts. The classic chicken burrito on this site sums to 1,090 calories from the brand’s own records, the light to 550 calories and the loaded to 1,515 calories; the ordering menu lists 180 calories, which is the chicken alone, and the printed sheet gives 740 to 1,210 for a built burrito.
Is the price the calculator shows what I will pay?
No. It is the entree’s national median pickup price read on 25 September 2026 across 368 restaurants, plus the add-ons at their medians; choose a state for its median, and expect the restaurant’s own figure to sit somewhere in the range on the entree page. Delivery is priced higher on the brand’s own menu.
Why does double protein add calories only?
Because the brand publishes the calorie figure and nothing else for the extra portion record; the calculator adds the calories and says the sum is partial rather than inventing the rest.
Does the calculator include the kid’s meals?
Yes: a kid’s build your own sums the kid’s portions the calculator and the printed sheet carry, a pair of tortillas and the kid’s chips; the drink is chosen at the counter and its records are on the kid’s drinks page.
Where do the figures come from?
From Chipotle’s nutrition calculator, read 26 September 2026, one record per part; the price from 368 restaurants’ own ordering menus read 25 September 2026. Nothing is estimated.
