The basket

The basket is nine items, each on the menus of every state read: Chicken Burrito, Chicken Bowl, Steak Burrito, Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Tacos (3), Chips & Guacamole, Chips, Fountain Drinks (soda and iced tea) and Chicken Kid’s Quesadilla. Each state’s figure adds up the medians read at that state’s restaurants, so it moves with all nine at once rather than with one. The cheapest basket on 25 September 2026 was Kansas at $63.31 (eight restaurants read); the dearest New York at $74.80 (eight). The gap is $11.49, or 18 percent of the cheapest; at the national medians the same basket is $66.80.

Five cheapest, five dearest

Cheapest: Kansas ($63.31), North Dakota ($63.31), Minnesota ($63.55), Missouri ($63.55) and Wyoming ($63.74). Dearest: New York ($74.80), California ($72.15), the District of Columbia ($70.97), Vermont ($70.75) and Maine ($70.75). The median basket across the 48 states and DC is $66.44.

The item that moves most

Of the basket, Chicken Quesadilla moves most by state: $9.72 in Kansas against $11.70 in New York at the medians, a gap of $1.98 on one item. The chicken burrito runs $9.18 in Kansas to $11.15 in New York. Every item page carries its own by-state table, and choosing a state at the top of the page prints that state’s median on every row of the site.

Delivery by state

The brand’s delivery price moves with the pickup price: the chicken burrito’s delivery median is $11.93 in Kansas and $14.50 in New York, against $9.18 and $11.15 for pickup. The markup sits near 30 percent everywhere; the brand’s own terms add that fees apply at checkout except in six states: “Higher menu prices are charged for delivery; additional service and other fees applied at checkout as well (except in CA, CO, CT, MA, MN and VA).”

What a state median stands on

At most eight restaurants were read per state and as few as two in the smallest (South Dakota and Wyoming), so a single expensive restaurant moves a state median; the count is printed beside every state. The national range is the safer figure for any one item. Alaska and Hawaii have no Chipotle restaurants in the brand’s directory and no row here.

How this page is read

Every price on this page is a range read from 368 restaurants’ own ordering menus in 48 states and DC on 25 September 2026, printed with the count of restaurants behind it and the brand’s own delivery price beside it; every calorie and nutrient figure is Chipotle’s own record from its nutrition calculator, and every allergen mark is its own chart row or tag.
